Dental Implants
Implants are used to replace missing teeth or to anchor complete dentures. A dental implant looks and feels like your own tooth. We will work with an implant specialist to create an implant for a missing single tooth, missing multiple teeth, or replace a removable appliance.
Whitening
There are several options available to whiten your smile. We offer the ZOOM!™ in-office whitening system, which uses a light activated gel to lighten the teeth several shades in appoximately two hours. Another option is to have custom trays made from impressions of your teeth. The trays are comfortable and worn at night while you sleep. You will achieve a whiter smile in just a few weeks!
Fillings and Restorations
When you have a cavity and need to get a filling, there are two different types of material we can use. Amalgam is a safe, durable material that is silver in color and uses mechanical retention to stay in place. White or tooth colored fillings use a composite resin material that matches your teeth. There are several advantages when choosing this material. Not only do they match your natural teeth, the fillings are bonded and actually help make the tooth stronger.
Bonding
Bonding can be used to restore decayed or chipped teeth, resurface stained teeth, or close spaces between teeth. Bonding is a relatively conservative procedure that can improve the look of your smile.
Crowns and Veneers
From repairing one damaged tooth to full mouth reconstruction, crowns and veneers can be used to give you a new smile. There are several choices for materials, and we will work with you to achieve the best result.
Dentures and Bridges
If you have missing teeth, there are several treatment options to consider including a denture or a bridge. Through proper diagnosis, we can optimize your treatment.
Sedation Dentistry
A lot of patients experience some kind of apprehension about dental treatment. Our office offers a wide range of ways to make your visit pleasant. We have headphones and a selection of CD's to listen to, or you can bring your own favorite CD. We also have virtual reality-type glasses that enable you to watch a movie during your dental treatment.
Nitrous Oxide or "laughing gas" is a service that we provide.. The nitrous oxide will help you to feel relaxed, and after a few minutes of breathing pure oxygen you will feel back to normal.
If you need more help relaxing, we can prescribe an oral sedative to take the night before and an hour prior to your appointment. You will need someone to drive you to and from the office. You will also get nitrous oxide gas and we closely monitor your vital signs. You will feel relaxed and somewhat sleepy.
I.V. Sedation is also available to make your dental treatment "dream-like". You will remain conscious throughout the appointment, but will remember almost nothing. You will need someone to drive you to and from the office.
Cerec
In the tradition of staying on top of technology, we have installed equipment in our office that can fabricate crown and inlay restorations in one visit. CEREC is a computer aided milling machine. No more messy impressions, temporary restorations or second visits to worry about. You can even watch your restoration being made!
